Textured Glaze
I bought the vase on the left at a vintage shop - for 8 Euros (I tried to walk away...) then went to the flea market and got the big one for 4 Euros! Lesson learned.

I found it! The purple vase
I've been looking for a little coloured vase like this one for ages... since I saw one on an Etsy blog I loved... and I finaly found this one in the last throws of a flea market rummage - got this one for 1 Euro - bargain! Same for the other two vases. I also picked up a few cacti from a guy who told me he had been growing cacti for over 20 years. He was an interesting character -

Catching my eye - Etsy lamps
From the following: 1)Heartkeylogie 2) EarthSeaWarrior 3)Kibster 4) Object of beauty
A few of the lamps that have caught my eye on Etsy this week... As we're on a budget I'm holding out for my very own thrifting find at the flea markets - not easy as stylish lamps can be pricey - I'm sure there's one of these beauties somewhere with my name on it...in the meantime, I'll keep gathering inspiration.

Growing obsessions... German pottery
In
England we lived in a Victorian house and decorated it with Victorian
style antiques, plenty of pine and lots of traditional pottery. I
thought moving to a modern appartment was going to be really difficult -
I just wasn't tuned in to the style.
In
fact, it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of our move...
I've had the chance to rethink my taste and I find that I'm increasingly
drawn to mid-century objects and particularly Danish, Finnish and
Swedish design. We don't have a huge budget, but we are very fortunate
to have a wonderful flea market nearby every month and I just love it -
I've been known to visit on both saturday and sunday for my fix.
The
latest objects to catch my eye are German pottery... I found several
lovely pieces this weekend which I'll post later, but this is
undoubtedly one of my favourites.

Berlin - Spring
No better way to spend a day on my own than wandering the streets of Berlin on a second hand shop hunt. I still love the visible commune living you see in pockets around the city - I know it's in decline so feel like I need to soak it up while it lasts.
Gozlem mmmmmmmm...
Hazy afternoon...
